Health Tips

Am having the worst cold and cough ever ! And it suddenly came to my mind. What if this weekend was my engagement / wedding ?? I'm not gonna be on my "pelamin" with runny nose while sneezing and having my make up mess my face...On top of that, I have a pimple on my forehead now! What a way to make matters worst eh?

So i did a little research to help all B2B's on ways to keep themselves healthy at least 1 month before the wedding. And Especially 1 to 2 weeks before the big day. Let it be any big day actually.

1. Eat Well
I know every bride would be on a strict diet. However, that does not mean starvation. Choose healthy food and snacks. Very important to make sure enough of protein and vitamin (especially) is entering their system. Make healthy choices, like opting water instead of soda and exercising


2.Take Walks / Strolls
This help us not only to clear our mind and relieve stress but it helps burn lot of calories if you were not aware. 


3.Practice good posture
Good posture helps us look confident when we walk down the aisle on our wedding day. It also gives you great posture for your wedding photo shoots and avoids back injuries.


4.Eat some Chocolate
Dark chocolates are good for blood pressure. Chocolate also stimulates production of feel-good serotonin, a hormone that can help with stress and ease your moods.


5.Get a Head Massage
Getting your scalp massaged is a relaxing way to take a break from wedding planning. It also stimulate hair follicles, so by doing this regularly, you’ll help yourself to a more beautiful head of hair.


6.Avoid late outings
Staying up late to plan your wedding is one of the worst things you can do for pre-wedding health. By depriving yourself of sleep, you’re at risk for problems like weight gain and an impaired ability to heal. Of course, you’ll probably end up moody and un-focused in the mornings.


7.Take your vitamins
 you’ll need all the help you can get as your body is attacked by stress, diet changes, and beauty routines.Consult your doctor on the right vitamins your body need. Remember every body has different needs so always check with your doctor first before taking any recommendations from your friends.


8.Drink Water
By staying hydrated, you’ll not only help your overall health, but support a more beautiful complexion and even weight loss.


9.Avoid going overboard with Spa visits
One major NO NO is over doing something. Too much of everything destroys you. One major thing many B2B's do is making appointments for Spa and Massages one or two days before the big day. Always keep a time frame of 2 weeks to allow your body to heal. Who knows your last visit to the Spa or Massage might cause some damage. Remember the movie Bride Wars with the tanning and blue hair issue? 


10.Sleep
Don't forget to take at least 8 hours of beauty sleep. They don't call it beauty sleep for nothing ladies!! 


11.Have Fun
A happy Bride is a healthy bride. Nobody wants to be around a Bride-Zilla. Remember that despite the weight of your wedding day, it’s still just one day out of your life. Enjoy the ride and look forward to your newly-wed life with a positive attitude.
